Meet Susan Thao
My name is Susan Thao and I am a sophomore this fall semester. My major is
still undecided, but I look forward to declaring my major at the end of
this semester. I am a Peer Mentor for Access to Success and was a former
ATS student the previous year. I am also a tutor for the Multicultural
Family Literacy Program for work study. Through this program, I am also
part of the Midwest Campus Compact Citizen-Scholar Program (M3C) where I
volunteer 300 hours in one year to receive an Americorps Education award.
I live in a suburban town, Oakdale, just outside of St. Paul. I work with
children at church as a teacher. I love working with children and look to
work with children in my career. I am interested in sports, particularly
volleyball and football. Go Vikings!! I love to read good books, watch tons
of movies, and I enjoy journaling. I have two younger brothers in high
school and I have my lovely parents. I love family gatherings and a night
out with the girls. I can be a quiet person, but I enjoy conversations as
well. Overall, I look forward to a great year with ATS and great learning
experiences.
