Meet Sarah Hansen

Sarah Hansen is a teaching assistant for CLA 1005. She graduated from The College of William and Mary, where she studied anthropology and education. Her first teaching job was in the Peace Corps, where she taught English to elementary, middle, and high school students in Corlateni, Moldova. Sarah's Peace Corps experience deepened her interests in issues surrounding culture and teaching.  After teaching in public schools in the U.S., she enrolled as a doctoral student in the Department of Curriculum and Instruction where she now focuses on the educational experiences of immigrant students and families in U.S. schools.

When she's not studying, Sarah enjoys visiting art museums in the Twin Cities, walking around the urban lakes, and trying vegetarian dishes at all the wonderful local restaurants. She is excited to share her interests with ATS students and to learn from them as they navigate their college experiences.
